Get good pay average is (£57,382 per year) no need for a degree and low stress job until someone jumps in front of the train but still low stress overall. Only problem is it's probably going to be one of the first job to be taken over but probably still a couple decades.

I think it depends on the company but for most maths and English gcse seems to be it.

57k is pretty good actually, looks like you just need to do an apprenticeship

Yeah and I think that just 40hrs a week probably tons of overtime you can get. Just an apprenticeship you have to be 21 to apply tho so I would have to wait a couple of years

Easy job. £57k just for pressing a button. And they have the gall to go on strike 2-year running asking for extra money. Jfl.

I think it’s a nepo-only job.

Might be yeah. sadly I heard alot of people do smaller jobs working with trains like guards and shit to build connections which might help.

That’s still below the povertycel cutoff in London.

could be decent, idk if u get bonuses in the uk for working weekends/nights but could imagine those would add up pretty well bc afaik train drivers have shifts pretty commonly during the night/weekends

Then don't live in London. shit city anyway
Wages are much worse in other parts of the country. And the povertycel cutoff is still 45k in most places.

never heard of apprenticeships? You must not be German, Swiss or Austrian then.

Most of the KCL and LSE grads I know are still povertycels even a few years after graduation.
